The human resources department for an air navigation service provider has a custom CMS to handle induction training for new contractors. This CMS allows for the management of new contractors, certifications, and the creation and modification of a variety of training tests to ensure all staff meets the training requirements of HR. Velociraster was hired as an intermediate to oversee the transition of the project to a new team. This involved analysis and documentation of the existing code base, bug fixes and new feature development, establishment of a new hosting solution, ending in the delivery or a cleaned code base and support to the new development team.
As a hired intermediate for transitioning teams, our initial job was to analyze a pre-existing codebase or a corporate education and training web portal, in addition various refactoring and feature upgrades were desired and request from our team to handle.
Sometimes one of the most stressful parts of databases is dealing with licenses and legacy support. With this project, in addition to development, we helped coordinate transfer of licenses between parties and compliance with various corporate and government requirements.
