GlobalVetLINK connects veterinarians, animal owner and producers, industry partners, governmental officials and diagnostic laboratories through a system that simplifies compliance with animal movement requirements and Animal Disease Traceability. Velociraster worked directly with GVL's marketing department to establish a handful of marketing videos, as well as user training videos to coincide with the launch of a major upgrade to their system.
The client had a specific style in mind for their videos. During our initial meetings, their marketing department presented some examples and spoke to their general expectations and goals on the project. Our job was to absorb that information and focus our efforts down this path they already knew was right for their brand.
Even though we do offer copywriting services, this is a case where the client could handle some of the lifting to reduce costs. Our goal was to work along side their marketing script writers to help them focus their structure into a format that was more scene based for the video.
In this case the client came to us with a collection of style samples they wanted to work towards. The goal was not to copy, but to create something unique for their brand that still heavily aligned with a trend they felt was appropriate for their goals. This focused our efforts quickly, so time could be spent on creating more detailed oriented sketches during the initial stages of design.
With videos representing a suite of products, there was an establish swatch to work into the designs to create broader unity.
Going from conceptual figures into well defined characters that had defined roles that aligned with the script was one of the final stages of illustrative design.
Velociraster has relationships with a range of voice actors. A meeting with the client allowed us to determine what kind of voice was most appropriate. From there we gathered relevant voice samples to help the team help decide.
After establishing storyboard layouts for each scene, we iterated through animations; bringing together motion, illustration, script, voice over and sound effects all into one final piece.
